Job Description:

·         Leave the Sanction of Consultants and other staff under his control.

·         Hospital Management and Administration.

·         For the quality of service and continuous improvement of Systems.

·         Ensuring submission of MIS reports on schedule.

·         For compliance with all laws and regulations that are associated with hospital and trust.

·         Analyze, Synthesize & Integrate Information.

·         Take decisions for the organization regarding starting any new patient care service, any major policy pertaining to patient care, any inter dept. dispute on patient care activity, problems faced by resident doctors in their functioning which needs high-level consensus.

·         Motivate the staff to get expected results.

·         Review and evaluate the results for further improvement of the organization.

·     All matters pertaining to services and records in the hospital as and where these concern patients i.e. Front Office/Reception, Wards, OTs, Departments, etc.

·         Recruitment of Honorary Consultants and/or their removal from the panel as per the wishes of the Secretary, in consultation with the Medical Council.

·         Induction of Residents and their subsequent allocation of work. Supervising their training and functioning.

·         All duties that involve nurses, including those controlled by the Administrator.

·         Control and management of the School of Nursing through the Principal of the Nursing School.

·     Dealing with Medical matters (like obtaining recognition for our courses) which need to be taken up with the State Government/Central Government.

·         Carrying out of mortality audit. Preparing briefs of all committees created by the Secretary.

·         Dealing with all medico-legal policies and issues.

·         Coordinating Continued Medical Education (CME), Quality Assurance, and Tissue reviews.

·         Monitoring and instituting measures to control Hospital Infection.

·    Liaising with various civilian Medical Bodies like the General Practitioners Association and Association of Hospitals (as and when organized).
